2019.01.12 UPDATE-KERNEL.sh and SET-ARM64-KERNEL.sh are now designed to support multiple arm64 devices. This will simplify maintenance and allow single image kernel distributions. Currently supported devices are Marvell and Rockchip boards nclude espressobin and espressobin-v7. The dtb's will extract into dtb/chipmaker/specific-board.dtb. Only the Espressobin and Espressobin V7 have been tested so far. Soon I will have a Rockchip RockPro64 board to test. 2018.12.29 UPDATE-KERNEL.sh and SET-ARMADA-KERNEL.sh have been improved for use with 4.19.13+ on EspressoBin. Note for EspressBin the u-boot environment has to be updated to work with the larger kernel size. UPDATE-KERNEL.sh handles all of the kernel updates starting with the 3.9.x. The kernel's are tested locally on CuBox/CuBoxI, EspressoBin and Raspberry Pi 32/64 bit architecture. Other kirkwood devices should also work, although you may need to make a mod to UPDATE-KERNEL.sh to get the correct dtb to install. Also worth mentioning is that F2FS support is built into the kernel. I have been using F2FS with good results on all of my test platforms on USB flash drives/SD cards. The older scripts can be used for previous kernel versions. Starting with 3.9.7 the raspberry pi is supported. ************************************ * raspberry pi stratum 1 time server ************************************ The pi kernel has been patched to include the pps-gpio module configured for gpio 24. The Adafruit module works very well and is easy to wire up to the pi. Definately go with the external antennae unless you plan to have the module outdoors.
